The descending shoots outside my window

After those pretty designs on the window curtains, another kind of curtain was to be seen outside my balcony window. Ever swung from those long, sturdy descending shoots of a banyan tree during your childhood days? Similar ones are to be seen from this huge tree whose branches tickle the panes of my balcony windows.
